The National Rugby Sevens Championship is an annual rugby union event that includes senior and junior teams in men’s and women’s divisions. Competitors include national Indigenous representative teams, state- and territory-based teams, and representatives from the Australian Armed Services and Australian Universities. In 2018 the Championship was staged on Turrbal Country (Ballymore stadium) in Meanjin (Brisbane) from December 7 until December 9. Listen to intrepid Reporter Alan (aged five) interview his older Cousin, William, who was representing the national Indigenous under 17s team. A big thanks to William for doing this interview straight after finishing a game. William is Wiradjuri and Alan is Dja Dja Warrung.
